💙 Jump for a Cure – Supporting Lyla and Everyone Living with Type 1 Diabetes
Megan Winter and Daniel Lucas are braving the skies and jumping out of a plane to support Breakthrough T1D in their mission to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D).
This cause is very close to our hearts. Lyla was diagnosed with T1D at a young age, and every single day she shows courage and resilience living with a condition that currently has no cure. Her journey inspires us to take on this challenge, and we’re dedicating our jump to her and the more than 135,000 Australians living with T1D.
T1D can strike anyone, anytime. In Australia, 8 people are diagnosed every day. Living with T1D means managing hundreds of extra decisions daily, constant blood glucose monitoring, and never being able to take a break. It’s a relentless, 24/7 condition.
Breakthrough T1D is the world’s largest funder of T1D research, driving breakthroughs that bring us closer to prevention, better treatments, and ultimately, a cure. Their vision is clear: a world without T1D.
