💙 Jump for a Cure – Supporting Lyla and Everyone Living with Type 1 Diabetes
We’re braving the skies and jumping out of a plane to support Breakthrough T1D in their mission to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D).
This cause is deeply personal. Lyla was diagnosed with T1D at just 4 years old, and today she’s a gorgeous 15-year-old who faces this relentless condition with courage and resilience every single day. Her journey inspires us to take on this challenge, and we’re dedicating our jump to her – and to the more than 135,000 Australians living with T1D.
T1D can strike anyone, at any age. In Australia, 8 people are diagnosed every day. Living with T1D means:
- Over 180 extra daily decisions just to stay safe.
- Constant blood glucose monitoring.
- No breaks, no time off – it’s a 24/7 condition with no cure.
That’s why Breakthrough T1D, the world’s largest funder of T1D research, is so important. They are driving breakthroughs that bring us closer to prevention, better treatments, and ultimately, a cure. Their vision is clear: a world without T1D.
If Lyla can face T1D every day with such strength, then we can face our fears and leap out of a plane.
👉 Donate now to support our skydive and help create a future free from type 1 diabetes.
Your generosity will fund life-changing research and make a real difference for Lyla and thousands of others. Together, we can make it happen. 💙
