Everybody has a superhero, for Niamh its her Dad, to him- it's her. Niamh is a type 1 diabetes warrior, diabetes is 24/7 , she has regular needles and insulin to manage her blood sugar levels. As parents we see her do it all, We sit by her and support her. There is no cure for type 1 diabetes. Niamh would love it to see her Hero in the sky. T1D research

Hi,

I'm fundraising for JDRF Australia to support the 130,000+ Australians currently living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). 

I want to live in a world without T1D and my goal is to raise $1500 to fund research to find cures and improve lives until that happens.

If you aren't familiar with T1D, it is an autoimmune condition that can strike at any time. The body is unable to produce insulin, which is what regulates your blood sugar. People living with T1D need to manually give themselves insulin multiple times a day either through injections or an using an insulin pump.
