I’m fundraising for Breakthrough T1D to defeat T1D!
I was diagnosed in 2019, and struggled fitting back in having something new. Type 1 can become a serious burden, especially on a developing person such as a teen. Trying to find a balance between my school, social and work life is draining. My hope is that one day there will be sufficient treatment to make living with type 1 either easy or completely eradicate the disease all together. JDRF helped me when I needed it the most, so this is my way of giving back, and one day say I contributed to the cure for type 1.
My plan is to take every donation and walk for it. Donations can be made up until mid-September. This is because September holds World Diabetes Day on the 14th. Throughout the month, I will be walking each day for every donation. Every $10 mean I will walk 1km.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 7 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy.
I’m fundraising for Breakthrough T1D to defeat T1D! I’ll be walking and asking for your support to help raise funds for research to cure, prevent and better treat type 1 diabetes.
DONATE NOW to help the #BreakthroughT1DBlueArmy and change the lives of Australians living with T1D. Thank you.
