My name is Paige and I have Type 1 Diabetes. I have been living with diabetes since I was 12 years old (now 18), and I hope that with your contribution, it will not be forever!
My goal is to raise $1,500 for diabetes research. 100% of your donations go directly to the Breakthrough T1D charity, and if I hit this goal by October 26th, the charity will give me the opportunity to do a skydiving jump as part of their incentive.
Being the first in my family to be diagnosed with T1D, everything about this journey was new and overwhelming. Managing diabetes is a 24/7 commitment that influences what I eat, how I exercise, and especially my mental health. It requires constant monitoring, insulin, and supplies that are both life saving and incredibly costly.
Thankfully, advancements in technology like insulin pumps and CGMs have made life with T1D more manageable. But there is still much more that can be done. With continued research, we can improve the quality of life for people living with type 1, and one day, find a cure.
