The Run I Never Thought I’d Do
I’ve never been a runner. Even when I was an elite athlete, cardio and I had a complicated relationship — I could jump, twist and flip my way through almost anything, but running? NOPE! That was my wall.
So why am I lacing up now? Because this isn’t about me being fast or flawless — it’s about showing up for something bigger. I’m taking on one run, the kind I’ve spent a lifetime thinking I couldn’t do, to raise funds for life-changing Type 1 diabetes research.
It’s going to hurt. I’m going to be slow. But every step is a reminder that we can do hard things when they matter. For me, that’s turning “Type 1” into “Type None.”
If you’ve ever faced something that felt impossible — whether it was a run, a diagnosis, or a moment you didn’t think you could get through — I hope my little journey inspires you to believe in your own “impossible.”
Let’s run toward a cure, together.

Turning Type 1 into Type None – 10km for a Cure! 🏃♀️💙
I’m taking on an 8-week running program with one big goal – to smash out 10km and help turn Type 1 into Type None!
With your donations, encouragement, and maybe the occasional kick up the bum, I’m running to fund life-changing research that’s improving lives and working towards a cure for type 1 diabetes.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone, anytime. Here in Australia, 8 people are diagnosed every day. Each diagnosis means a life long 24/7 fight – with no breaks – and an extra 180 life saving decisions every single day. A whole life on life support.
Every step I take is for a future where no one has to live with Type 1.
Please support my run today – together, we can make a difference. 💙
