I’m taking on the Coogee Island Challenge and raising funds for Breakthrough T1D — to help fund life-changing research that can lead to better treatments, prevention, and ultimately a cure.
My sister was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) when she was just 5 years old. Since then, I’ve seen firsthand the constant challenges she faces every single day — from finger pricks and insulin injections to the mental load of managing a condition that never takes a break.
Type 1 diabetes can strike anyone at any time — and in Australia, 7 people are diagnosed every day. We need better answers, and we need them now.
