My beautiful granddaughter now lives with T1D.
Type 1 diabetes is relentless. Daily, hourly blood sugar monitoring, carb counting, injections, sensors, alarms and worry, every single day.
💉 T1D is an autoimmune disease where the body attacks the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas.
❌ T1D is not caused by diet, lifestyle or sugar intake. Many children are only diagnosed after becoming critically ill.
💙 T1D and Type 2 Diabetes are very different conditions.
