Hi my name is Claudia McGuinness! I’m 25 years old and have had type 1 diabetes for 15 years! A few years ago I did a fundraiser for diabetes raising over $1000 by dying my hair blue! Now I’m gonna jump out of plane!!!I am very passionate about finding a cure and believe no one deserves to have the daily struggle of living with diabetes! It’s time to make a change! My name is Claudia McGuinness! I just turned 25 and I have had type 1 diabetes for 15 years! A few years ago I dyed my hair bright blue for fundraising towards T1D research now I'm jumping out of a plane to support Breakthrough T1D in their mission to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D).
T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy. Breakthrough T1D is the largest funder of T1D research in the world with a vision to create a world without T1D.
