💙 "At 90 I am blessed with having all that I need and want, so in lieu of birthday gifts I am asking my family and friends to consider donating to Breakthrough T1D.
Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that can strike anyone at any time, and 7 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy. I have witnessed the challenges that my daughter Maria faces on a daily basis whilst managing this disease and so to me it is imperative that ongoing research be supported so that a cure for T1D can be found.
