In 2024, my godson Fletcher was diagnosed with diabetes. At just 2 years old, he’s an absolute trooper—with a cheeky smile, an inquisitive mind, and a love for exploring. Like many kids his age, Fletcher is obsessed with Spider-Man, but his real-life strength is even more inspiring.
Managing diabetes means Fletcher now faces daily challenges—carefully monitoring what he eats and drinks and needing daily insulin injections. Despite this, he’s one of the bravest kids I’ve ever met.
Inspired by his courage, I’m pushing myself to be brave too. That’s why I’m jumping out of a plane!
I’m taking on this challenge to raise funds and awareness for diabetes support and research. Every donation, big or small, will help make a difference for kids like Fletcher.

I'm jumping out of a plane to support JDRF in their mission to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D).
T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy. JDRF is the largest funder of T1D research in the world with a vision to create a world without T1D.
