I'm jumping for a great cause!
I'm jumping out of a plane to support JDRF in their mission to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Having being diagnosed at the age of 7 it’s been 20 years of highs and low (literally). I can’t remember not having type 1 diabetes but I remember the day I was diagnosed and it was life changing. In saying that I’ve been incredibly lucky to have the most amazing supportive team behind me every step of the way. It may effect me but it also effects the people around me on a daily basis so why not jump out a plane to raise money for a great cause!
T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy. JDRF is the largest funder of T1D research in the world with a vision to create a world without T1D.
