Mother & daughter duo jumping for T1D
We are jumping out of a plane to support JDRF in their mission to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D).
T1D can strike anyone at any time, and 8 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy. JDRF is the largest funder of T1D research in the world with a vision to create a world without T1D.
Unfortunately one of our family members were diagnosed with T1D 3 years ago at just the age of 11. He ended up in John Hunter Hospital really really ill without knowing the cause. They finally ran some test and the doctors came back and gave the bad news to the family that he was a T1D and should be in a diabetic coma as he's sugars were that low. In the process of this all he had lost 70% of vision in both eyes and needed to undergo surgery to restore his vision, this was all due to his T1D. So raising funds for this cause means so much to me and my mum we would love the support from you all to help us raise $3000 in total to help those in need who suffer with diabetes. In return we are throwing ourselves out of a perfectly good plane at a height of 15,000 feet
DONATE NOW to help change the lives of more than 130,000 Australians living with T1D. Thank you!
